KPOP GUIDE 101: WHAT TO DO DURING CONCERT D-DAY!
Tuesday, October 04, 2016Hey guys! I’m back today with the continuation of my Kpop Guide 101 series. So for the last two posts I have shared tips about the things you need to prepare months, a week and a day before the concert, and today I am going to share my tips about what to do during concert day. In case you missed out my previous posts about what to prepare ahead before the concert you can check the first part here and the second part here.
So it’s Concert D-Day
and you can’t hide your excitement, there’s “too much feels” already because
you will finally see your favorite group and your bias. But you must stay focus
and make sure to check if you have everything you need inside your bag before
leaving your house.
Now that you are
already in the venue the most common question is “What am I going to do?” This
question is very common to those who will attend the concert alone especially
to those first timers (trust me if it’s not because of my kpop friends who
already had concert experience I might be wandering around very clueless during
my first kpop concert), but don’t worry there are plenty of things to do for
you not to be bored and enjoy while waiting for the concert.
1 1. FALL
IN LINE AT THE RIGHT LINE
If
you are attending an open ground concert, you need to be early to fall in line
so that you can enter the venue earlier than the others and perks is you will
be able to choose a best spot to see your favorite group. If you are attending
arena concerts and you have reserved seats then that won’t be a problem at all
except if you purchased VIP Standing Tickets and General Admissions which usually
are free areas, you will be need to fall in line as early as possible for
you to get a good spot.
2 2. MAKE
FRIENDS
There
are many fans who will also attend the concert especially if it’s a very famous
group like BIGBANG, so you should not worry being alone because you can always
make friends. You can always talk casually to the ones’ who are ahead or behind
your line and bonus is if they are with their friends also you can make their
friends as your friends as well. No need to be afraid that you might be ignore
because trust me Kpop fans are really friendly and very approachable, and who
knows they might also be looking for new friends who also likes Kpop.
3 3. LEARN
FANCHANTS
If
you are too shy to talk to other people then you can learn fanchants of the
group songs. You can get your headset and listen to the song and practice
fanchant, but make sure your voice is not too loud to the point that it will
get other fans attention.
4 4. EAT
Don’t
forget to eat! You don’t want to get dizzy while you are already inside the
venue and the concert is about to start, right? So you need to take care of
your health. (I sometimes bring food inside the venue even if in most cases
it’s prohibited, sshhhh)
5. FREE
STUFF
There
are many fan clubs who usually give banners, stickers, even cookies, candies,
fans and pictures, and other stuffs to fans. There are also those who give
small cards to fans and ask them to write a message for the group, then later
they will collect it and give it to one of the staffs and ask them to give it
later to the group, it happened to me
during 2NE1 ALL OR NOTHING CONCERT TOUR IN MANILA.
6. PARTICIPATE
IN GAMES
Aside
from giving free stuffs, fan clubs also host small games where fans can enjoy,
usually they will just ask questions about the group and if you can answer it
they will give you a special prize; it happened to me when I attended BIGBANG MADE CONCERT.
7 7. BUY
A MERCHANDISE
I
know the concert ticket is already expensive plus the light stick, but if you
have extra cash try checking the booths around the venue. They sell many kpop
merchandises! (Yeyyy!).
8. ENJOY
THE CONCERT!
Finally
the long wait is over and you are finally seeing your favorite group but you
are mainly focusing on taking pictures and fancams for your memories and that’s
a NO-NO! It doesn’t mean that taking pictures and videos inside are fine you
will literally hold your camera and record/capture everything. You may take
pictures and videos but do not focus on just doing it, our eyes is still better
than cameras and besides you will miss many things in the concert if you are
just doing that. Enjoy the concert with other fans and with your favorite
artist, satisfy your eyes watching your bias and/or your favorite artist and
sing/dance along with the song.
REMEMBER:
Please
be considerate, you are not the only person who wants to see the artist, so be
careful in using your light stick and raising your banners. If you are in the
standing area, do not push fans or any actions that will hurt someone and make
sure that you abide with the rules.
So,
that’s all my tips for you during concert D-Day! I hope you find it very
helpful If there’s anything you want to add you can tell me by leaving a
comment below or send me an email.
God
Bless and Enjoy the Concert!
