Korea’s top stars Lee
Min Ho and Jun Ji Hyun will be working together in a new drama series Legend of the Blue Sea written by Park
Ji-Eun (she is also the writer of The Man
who came from the Stars starred by Kim Soo Hyun and Jun Ji Hyun). The story
is inspired by a classic Joseon Legend from the collection of unofficial
historical tales, about a fisherman who captures and releases a mermaid. It
will tell about the story of love between Dam-Lim (Lee Min Ho) a son of a noble
family and Shim Chung (Jun Ji Hyun), a mermaid from Joseon era who came in
Seoul and had a difficulty in adapting to human life. The drama has been filmed
in different places of Korea, Palau and Spain and the first two episodes will
be air on November 16-17, 2016.

Fans are really
anticipating of this new drama as it will be Lee Min Ho’s last drama before he
will enlist in the military for 2 years and Jun Ji Hyun’s first drama after she
bore her first baby. One of my reasons why I am really looking forward on this
drama is that the fact that it’s a mermaid drama, it really excites me when
it’s about mermaid and also another fact is that this kind of story is not
common in Korean dramas. I think the only mermaid korean drama I have watched
is The Idle Mermaid starred by
____________.
